Studio Technical Director (Freelance)
This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to be involved in live television during the London 2012 Olympics! We are seeking freelance Studio Technical Directors who must be able to commit to the period 23 July 2012 - 12 August 2012. Prior training will be provided.
You are responsible for leading a studio crew, making sure that the crew members setup the studio on a hard or virtual set, setup the lighting, the audio mixing console and vision mixing console in PCR (Production Control Room), and meet production requirements in terms of technical and operational aspects before a production.
During the production you will monitor the technical and production quality of the incoming and outgoing video and audio and make any remedy through effective communications with various area.
Responsibilities:
• Good knowledge of broadcast equipment and operation in respect to audio mixing vision mixing and television lighting.
• Minimum 3 to 5 years experience in sound mixing , or vision mixing and lighting in a studio operations.
• Good understanding of Sports TV production.
• Ability to assume a leadership position in leading a TV studio crew during production.
• Ability to work and react well under pressure during "live" programmes.
• Language proficiency in Mandarin and Cantonese an advantage.
• Must be prepared to work irregular hours including weekends and public holidays.
