His Holiness Dalai Lama will grace a ceremony at the newly-built stadium in the hill town of Dharamshala just before an IPL match scheduled there on 18 April.

Mohali is scheduled to take on Chennai in the match.

The secretary to His Holiness was quoted saying that the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association had sent an invitation a few days ago requesting him to grace a ceremony.

Dharamshala has already played host to several first class matches.
