Sanga to keep faith with his side

Mohali captain Kumar Sangakkara has ruled out making wholesale changes to the side despite crashing to a 31-run defeat against Jaipur.

This was Mohali's fourth loss in five games in the third edition of the Indian Premier League.

Jaipur notch up second straight win

Jaipur amassed an imposing 183 for five thanks to contributions from Michael Lumb (41), Faiz Fazal (45) and Adam Voges (45 not out).

Kumar Sangakkara (29) and Manvinder Bisla (35) then gave Mohali a blazing start before they were skittled out for 152.

"I think the personnel we have at the moment are good enough to do it as long as they keep preparing well," Sangakkara said.

"But rather than just changing personnel we have a lot of thinking to do and we need to take a good look at ourselves and how we play the game.

"We also have to ensure that everyone understands their responsibilities. We are still a very good team and we have a lot of excellent players in there, but we need to go out and win.

"I still think we can go forward to the semi-finals."

Mohali appeared in control at 107 for two in just under 11 overs, but contrived to lose their last eight wickets for just 45 runs.

"It was just a case of batting another four or five overs together, getting a partnership and setting ourselves up for the launch at the end," Sangakkara said.

"At 107 for two, we had some of the best hitters in the game to come, but again we put ourselves in a position to win and didn't really convert.

"That has been the story of the tournament for us so far, so we have a lot of hard work to do.

"There were some positives in the way Bisla batted and the start we got, but we need to improve."

Jaipur captain Shane Warne believes his team have turned the corner after suffering three straight defeats at the start of the tournament.

"I thought we posted a pretty good score where everyone chipped in," Warne said. "We are one of those teams where everyone contributes.

"We don't rely on one or two players and I thought today everyone did what they had to.

"We dropped a couple of catches and were a little sloppy in the field, but we showed a lot of character to just hang in there and fight back after the start they had.

"The IPL is all about intensity, everything you do has got to be intense, whether you are bowling bouncers or running between the wickets.

"That's something we chatted with the guys about and I think we are up for it."
