Martin axed from Jaipur squad

Former Australian batsman Damien Martin has been excluded from the trimmed Jaipur squad.

Thirty-eight-year-old Martin has played only one game in the Indian Premier League.

He scored 19 in the match against Bangalore.

"By the time you read this, I will be heading home," he wrote on his blog.

"It's ironic that ever I was to play it had to be against the best bowler in the world. Dale Steyn, bowling 155 kmph."

He also wrote on his blog that Australian all-rounder Shane Watson will join the squad and that leaves no space for him.

The Jaipur team have won their last two encounters despite losing the first three.
