Pakistan trio shine in Gladiators victory
A fine all-round show by Azhar Mahmood helped Dhaka Gladiators notch up an eight-wicket victory over Sylhet Royals.
Three players from Pakistan were at the forefront of a convincing victory for the Gladiators. Mahmood was picked up two wickets and scored some quick runs while Naved-ul-Hasan snapped up three wickets; while Imran Nazir slammed 31 to pip Sylhet to the post.
In a one-side game in the Bangladesh Premier League, the Royals were restricted to 128/7 in their 20 overs. It was only Peter Trego's 35 which gave Sylhet's total some semblance of respect after they were rocked by Mahmood 2/22 and Naved-ul Hasan 3/18.
The Gladiators, chasing 129 to win, cantered home with 43 balls to spare. Imran Nazir (31 retired) and Mohammad Ashraful (40), in a 79-run opening stand, shut the Royals out of the game before Mahmood sealed it with a brisk 29 from 15 balls.
Brief Scores:
Sylhet Royals: 128/7 (Trego 35, Naved 3/18)
Dhaka Gladiators: 132/2 (Ashraful 41; Nazir 32)
Haque scripts Burners win

Khulna powered to 161/7, thanks to a fluent 42 from Nazmul Hossain Milon after the Burners had reduced them to 134/7.
Brief Scores:
Khulna Royal Bengals 161/7 (Milon 42 not out, Chanderpaul 33)
