Asian Champions League finalists Al Sadd warmed up for Saturday's clash against Jeonbuk Motors with a 2-1 defeat to Al Jeish in the Qatar Stars League.

Ali Afif gave Al Sadd the lead in the 12th minute but the hosts fought back to take the points thanks to Ismael Merdhalli's double.

Elsewhere, Hicham Aboucherouane's two goals helped Al Ahly overcome Umm Salal.

Aboucherouane found the back of the net in the 14th and 26th minutes and although Everaldo Cabore reduced the deficit six minutes into the second period, Adel Ahmed added Al Ahly's third shortly afterwards.
