Fletcher looking to United veterans

Manchester United midfielder Darren Fletcher believes the squad's experience will help them lift the Premier League.

United find themselves in the familiar position of league leaders after Chelsea's draw against Blackburn saw them move two poins clear at the top.

The Red Devils faces a tough run-in, with matches against Manchester City, Tottenham and Chelsea still to come - but they are now the odds-on favourites to life the trophy for the fourth year running.

Fletcher is confident that the team has enough experienced heads to help them close out the season on a high.

In comments reported by The Sun, he said: "The league is in our hands. If we win all our games, we'll be champions. Hopefully we can do that."

"We have experience from the manager to lads like Gary Neville, Paul Scholes, Ryan Giggs and Rio Ferdinand."

"They remind you of things in certain situations. The fans also have seen it all before."

This year, Sir Alex Ferguson's men have the added incentive of breaking Liverpool's record of 18 domestic trophies.

"This club is all about breaking records," said Fletcher.
