Button: We are feeling more confident
Jenson Button is confident that Albert Park will suit his MP4-25 better than Bahrain did.
Button's debut with McLaren was a disappointing event, with only a seventh place finish due a mediocre qualifying performance and a complete lack of overtaking during the race.
Added to that, the Brit was lacking in pace over a single lap during the grand prix, finishing with a best of 1:59.970, over a second-and-a-half down on Fernando Alonso's Ferrari.
But the 2009 Australian GP winner reckons the next race in Melbourne will produce a better result for both he and the team.
"I think we head to the Albert Park circuit feeling more confident of our overall pace," he said.
"It's quite a contrast to Bahrain: no tight, low-speed sections and plenty of faster corners. We think the track configuration should suit our package.
"We learnt some very useful lessons about MP4-25 in the opening race, and the whole team is keen to put them into practice this weekend."
