NBA: Boston take winning streak to five

Boston went to a five straight winning streak as the Celtics downed the Charlotte Bobcats 94-84.

Paul Pierce passed Larry Bird for number two on the Celtics' career scoring list, finishing with 15 points.

Pierce needed nine points to tie Bird's total of 21,791, hitting a three-pointer with 10:23 left in the third to take him to 10 and past Bird's total.

Reggie Williams scored 21 for the Bobcats, who lost their 12th straight.

Indiana were 104-99 winners over the Utah Jazz as Danny Granger scored 12 of his 16 points in the fourth quarter, Darren Collison leading for the Pacers with 25 points.

Defeat was a second straight loss for the Jazz who had Paul Millsap scoring 18 points as the Pacers bounced back from Sunday's loss to Orlando.

The Miami Heat were 107-91 winners over the Cleveland Cavaliers as Dwyane Wade scored 26 points and LeBron James added 24 against his former team.

Antawn Jamison scored 25 points and had nine rebounds for Cleveland.

A driving lay-up from Steve Nash with five seconds to go gave the Phoenix Suns a 107-105 win agains the Milwaukee Bucks.

Phoenix's Michael Redd scored 14 points against his former team, Marcin Gortat scored 21 and Jared Dudley added 19.

Mike Dunleavy and Ersan Ilyasova scored 17 each for the Bucks.

The Minnesota Timberwolves had an 86-84 win over the Sacramento Kings, Nikola Pekovic with 23 points and 10 rebounds, and Michael Beasley adding 17 points and 14 boards.

DeMarcus Cousins had 10 points and 11 rebounds while battling foul trouble for most of the game.

Oklahoma City were 119-116 winners against the Golden State Warriors.
